Priority aspects of economic partnership between Turkmenistan and Japan discussed

The priority aspects of the interstate dialogue were discussed at the meeting of the Minister of Industry and Construction Production of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the Ambassador of Japan Takahiko Katsumata, the website of the Foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan reports.
Noting the high level of bilateral cooperation, the parties stressed that in recent years, cooperation in the trade and economic sphere is acquiring new content. In this aspect, the importance of a constructive Turkmen-Japanese dialogue at the highest level and a formed contractual base for multifaceted partnership was emphasized.
During the meeting, the parties stressed the significant contribution of Japanese companies to the development of key sectors of the economy of Turkmenistan. Thus, projects for the construction of a plant for the production of carbamide in the city of Mary, a gas chemical complex in the village of Kiyanly, a workshop for the production of sulfuric acid in the city of Turkmenabat, and a plant for the production of carbamide in the city of Karabogaz have already been successfully implemented.
An equally important result of the partnership is a new plant for the production of gasoline from natural gas in the Akhal region, which has no analogue in the world.
The parties also noted the successful promotion of new joint projects. Gas and petrochemicals, transport and communications, agriculture, the chemical industry, and the introduction of advanced technologies were named among the key areas of partnership.
It is also noted that negotiations were continuing with Japanese companies in the construction of energy and other facilities. The possibilities of developing cooperation in the field of construction were considered.
During the meeting, Ambassador Katsumata expressed gratitude to the Turkmen side for the attention to the development of Turkmen-Japanese relations, including the creation of a favorable investment climate for the effective work of foreign companies.
