The booster compressor station, which is being built at the Malay gas field in the Lebap region, has entered the final stage of commissioning.
The design capacity of the booster compressor station is 30 billion cubic meters of gas per year. The infrastructure of the facility includes blocks "A" and "B" of the booster compressor station, there are also blocks of a control and technical point and closed switchgear and other facilities.
Malay is one of the productive fields in Turkmenistan, which has been efficiently producing natural gas for many years. The supply of "blue fuel" to the interstate gas pipeline Turkmenistan-China is also provided from this field.
In 2018, in order to increase the export of Turkmen natural gas, a contract was signed by the State Concern “Turkmengas” and the British company Petro Gas LLP for the construction of this infrastructure facility.
The commissioning of a new gas compressor unit at the Malay gas field will help to increase export supplies of "blue fuel".
