During the IV Turkish-German Energy Forum, held in Berlin, Turkish Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Fatih Donmez said that Turkey is ready to transit Turkmen natural gas to European markets and will do everything possible for this. This is reported by the Anadolu agency.

According to the minister, today Ankara not only ensures its own energy security, but also seeks to contribute to the elimination of the problems of neighboring states.

“Recently, many countries of South-Eastern Europe have turned to Ankara with a request for support in covering gas demand,” he said, stressing that Turkey can continue to play a critical role in the issue of gas supplies from neighboring countries to Western markets.

“Turkey is ready to ensure the transportation of energy resources from the Caspian region, especially from Turkmenistan. We are also open to the export of Israeli gas, and in the long term from Iraq,” the minister said.
