The President of Turkmenistan and the Minister of Oil of Pakistan discussed the promotion of projects in the fuel and energy complex

The promotion of joint projects in the energy sector was discussed on Tuesday in Ashgabat by President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and State Minister of Oil of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Musadik Masud Malik, State news agency reports.
The guest conveyed greetings to the head of Turkmenistan from President Arif Alvi and Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, who confirmed Pakistan's commitment to friendly relations with our country.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, conveying greetings in return to the top leadership of Pakistan, noted the high level of mutual understanding and trust inherent in the interstate dialogue, which contributes to the development of bilateral partnership.
There during the meeting was discussed the progress of the TAPI (Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India) gas pipeline project on which all participants are now hard at work. The interlocutors also exchanged views on the laying of power lines and fiber-optic communication TAP (Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan).
As noted, the implementation of these large-scale projects is designed to promote sustainable socio-economic development of the entire region, its integration into the system of world economic relations, and the strengthening of regional peace and stability.
As Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted, Turkmenistan, which has an impressive hydrocarbon potential, is consistently implementing an energy strategy focused on diversifying energy supplies to world markets.
