Organizational issues related to the global forum were discussed during an online meeting of representatives of the Ministry of trade and foreign economic relations of Turkmenistan with the leadership of the organizing Committee of the world exhibition EXPO-2020, upcoming in Dubai (United Arab Emirates).

Earlier, Turkmenistan has already supported the initiative put forward by the UAE to postpone EXPO-2020 to the next year, taking into account the epidemiological situation in the world.

In this regard, the parties expressed their support for the activation of contacts and the continuation of a constructive exchange of views, focusing on the use of modern digital technologies.

As noted, Turkmenistan's participation in the EXPO in Dubai will contribute to expanding the geography and range of cooperation with all interested partners, promoting domestic products in foreign markets, as well as familiarizing with the world's best practices in various fields.

Representatives of the United Arab Emirates expressed their gratitude to President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov for all possible assistance to the development of friendly bilateral relations and fruitful mutually beneficial international partnership.

The Grand forum is scheduled to be held from October 1, 2021 to March 31, 2022.
