Azerbaijan imported 36,571 tons of AI-92 motor gasoline from Turkmenistan in the first half of 2022, the Angi.ru oil and gas information agency reports.
At the same time, the total volume of imports of Turkmen fuel amounted to 41.7 million US dollars. According to this indicator, Turkmenistan took the second place among all AI-92 suppliers to Azerbaijan.
In terms of deliveries of automotive fuel to the Republic of Azerbaijan, Russia was in first place, the volume of imports from this country amounted to 109 thousand 184.1 tons of the product in the amount of 125.6 million US dollars. In third place is Kazakhstan (3 thousand 526.29 tons for 3.9 million US dollars).
By a decree of the Azerbaijani government, from February 1 to June 1, 2022, customs duties on the import of AI-95 and AI-92 motor gasoline into the republic were reduced from 15% to zero. As a result, in the first 6 months of 2022, Azerbaijan increased the import of AI-92 gasoline by 30 times compared to the previous period.
