At the meeting of the Turkmen-Chinese intergovernmental committee, issues of implementation of projects in the fuel and energy sector were discussed

 The 7th meeting of the Subcommittee on Energy Cooperation of the Turkmen-Chinese Intergovernmental Committee was held on November 19, 2021 in an online format.

 The Turkmen side was headed by the Chairman of the State Concern «Turkmengas» Batyr Amanov, from the Chinese side was chaired by the Director of the State Energy Administration of the PRC Zhang Jianhua.  The meeting was also attended by representatives of relevant ministries and departments of the two countries.

 The parties discussed the implementation of agreements in the oil and gas industry, reached during a telephone conversation between the leaders of the two states, which took place in May this year.

 Particular attention was paid to the implementation of the decisions of the previous meetings, and aspects of further cooperation in the oil and gas and gas chemical fields were considered.  In particular, issues related to the export of Turkmen natural gas to China were discussed.

 The meeting also discussed issues of comprehensive cooperation to increase trade volumes, develop gas fields, increase production and expand cooperation in financing projects.

 The parties also paid attention to topical areas of cooperation in the energy sector, including renewable energy sources.

 The parties agreed to continue close cooperation in the oil and gas sector.

Turkmenistan exported natural gas worth $ 6.1 billion to China in January-November

Turkmenistan continues to hold a leading position in pipeline export of «blue» fuel to China. According to the General Customs Administration of the PRC, during January-November 2021, the Celestial Empire received 21.91 million tons of Turkmen natural gas through the Turkmenistan-China pipeline, which is $ 6.1 billion in monetary terms.

Management of «Gumdagnebit» significantly increased the rate of production growth in January-February

Oil and gas production department «Gumdagnebit» of the State Concern «Turkmennebit» in January-February 2023, held under the motto «The Year of Happy Youth with Arkadagly Serdar», ensured the production of about 91 thousand tons of oil from existing wells. At the same time, the plan for the reporting period was fulfilled by 112 percent. Compared to the same period last year, the achieved growth rate exceeded 124 percent.

The volume of purchases of Turkmen gas by Gazprom will double in 2021, - Russian Ambassador to Turkmenistan

In 2021, the volume of gas purchased by Gazprom from Turkmenistan is likely to double and amount to about 10 billion cubic meters. This was stated on Friday by the Russian Ambassador to Turkmenistan Alexander Blokhin at a press conference at the embassy dedicated to the annual results of the Turkmen-Russian cooperation.
