The Turkmenbashi complex of oil refineries (TCOR) has launched the production of aviation fuel for the An-2 aircraft, which are widely used in agriculture.  Vice-Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Shakhim Abdrakhmanov announced this at a government meeting last Friday.

As noted, the new fuel began to be produced at the request of the «Turkmenhowayollary» agency.  In this regard, a high-octane gasoline component was produced at the plant for obtaining a high-octane additive for automobile fuel from liquefied gas.  These products are registered by the General State Service «Turkmenstandarts» with a corresponding certificate.

In the future, it is planned to fully provide domestic fuel for the An-2 aircraft, which are widely used in the agricultural industry, as well as to organize the export of this popular type of product to the countries of the region.

Having approved the work carried out in this important area, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov emphasized the need for the comprehensive development of the fuel and energy complex.  The leader of the nation emphasized the need to further diversify the oil and gas sector and increase the production of import-substituting products that are in great demand in the country and abroad.

The head of the state also instructed the Vice-Chairman to keep under strict control the steps taken to systematically modernize the production infrastructure and systematically strengthen the material and technical base of the industry in accordance with the tasks outlined in the «Program for the Development of the Oil and Gas Industry for the Period until 2030».
