Turkmenistan is negotiating with large foreign companies to attract investment in gas chemical projects that are significant for the country. This was announced by the Vice-Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Shakhym Abdrakhmanov at a government meeting held last Friday.
In particular, the Vice-Chairman reported on the ongoing work on the implementation of gas chemical projects by the State Concern «Turkmengas» at the expense of foreign investments.
As reported, negotiations were underway with large foreign companies interested in cooperation with Turkmenistan on the implementation of large projects. In this context, positive dynamics was observed in such areas as the development of oil and gas fields, the laying of gas pipelines and the conversion of «blue» fuel.
Summing up the report, the head of the state focused on the issues of modernizing the material and technical base of the domestic fuel and energy complex and introducing innovative technologies and achievements of world practice into its production segments, where special attention was paid to international cooperation.
Having noted the need to hold negotiations with large foreign companies on the implementation of sectoral projects, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov generally approved the corresponding proposal, ordering to continue working with foreign partners with positive experience in the oil and gas industry.
