Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and his Azerbaijani counterpart Jeyhun Bayramov discussed by phone on Saturday the implementation of the agreements reached at the highest political level. The diplomats noted the importance of the upcoming trilateral meeting of the Presidents of Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan and Turkey this year, the website of the foreign ministry of our country reports.
The importance of the planned meeting of the leaders of these three countries was also considered during the telephone talks between Rashid Meredov and Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu, held last Friday. A number of agreements are planned to be signed within the framework of the summit of the heads of the three states of Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan and Turkey.
The planned visit of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to Turkmenistan this year was mentioned in a congratulatory message addressed to President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on the occasion of the Turkmen leader's birthday.
