The ceremony of awarding the winners of the creative competition «White City of Arkadag – Ashgabat», timed to coincide with the 140th anniversary of the founding of the Turkmen capital, was held in the Central Building of the Oil and Gas Complex of Turkmenistan last Friday.

 The creative competition included the following nominations: the best articles, essays, photo reports, poems and stories glorifying the white marble capital of Turkmenistan.

 Representatives of the oil and gas sector of our country took part in the solemn event organized by the State Concerns «Turkmengas» and «Turkmennebit», the State Corporation «Turkmengeology», the TCOR, the Council of Trade Union Organizations of Workers of the Oil and Gas Industry of Turkmenistan and the editorial board of the newspaper «Oil and Gas».

   At the beginning of the ceremony, the winners of the creative competition were awarded. The first place was awarded to Nuryagdy Suvkhanov, professor, head of the department of the Yagshygeldi Kakayev International University of Oil and Gas (IUOG), People's Artist of Turkmenistan, member of the khalk maslakhat of the Kopetdag etrap of Ashgabat Annagul Gurdova and journalist of the Oil and Gas newspaper Akgul Saparova.

 The second place went to the director of the first trade union organization of the Ashgabatgaz department of the State Concern «Turkmengas» Merjen Muradova, the Director of the Council of Trade Union Organizations of Oil and Gas Industry Workers of Turkmenistan Geldimurat Seytiev and the chief specialist of the State Concern «Turkmengas» Gulshat Muratmukhammedova.

 The third place was shared by Islam Durdyev, a teacher at the Y. Kakaev IUOG, Yazgul Rakhmanova, a journalist for the Oil and Gas newspaper, and Ibraimguly Ilamanov, director of the first trade union organization of the Dovletabatgazchykarysh management of the State Concern «Turkmengas».

 During the meeting, the participants of the event made speeches about the significant successes achieved by the Motherland in socio-economic development, which acquired special significance in the year of the 30th anniversary of the country's independence, held under the motto «Turkmenistan – Homeland of Peace and Trust».

 The winners of the competition were awarded certificates of honor and valuable gifts on behalf of the head of state and the Council of Trade Union Organizations of Oil and Gas Industry Workers of Turkmenistan.

 Within the framework of the event, a festive concert was held with the participation of artists from the cultural center of the State Concern «Turkmengas».

 At the end of the celebration action, the awardees addressed sincere gratitude to the leader of the nation Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov for creating favorable conditions for full-fledged creative activity and assured that they would continue to devote all their strength, knowledge, experience, skill and inspiration to the prosperity of their beloved Motherland.
