On June 3, Turkmenistan's Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov met with Eric Stewart, Executive Director of the Turkmenistan-USA Business Council, who arrived in Ashgabat on a working visit, headed by a representative delegation of American companies, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan reported.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the activities of the Turkmenistan-USA Business Council as an effective platform for strengthening business contacts and expanding interaction between representatives of public and private sector entities of the two countries.
At the meeting at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, it was emphasized that the Council's work contributes to strengthening interstate ties and developing mutually beneficial trade and economic cooperation between Turkmenistan and the United States.
The parties confirmed their interest in further expanding their partnership in key economic sectors, including transport and logistics, energy, oil and gas, agriculture, and others.
The effectiveness of the roundtable discussion held in Ashgabat by representatives of this Council, which was attended by representatives of approximately ten US companies, including Climate Compass, John Deere, Westport Trading, and others, was noted. The Turkmen side at the roundtable was chaired by Vice-Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan N. Atagulyev.
On the same day, representatives of the Turkmenistan-USA Business Council held a series of bilateral meetings at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan.
