In the period of the Revival of the New Era of the Powerful State, the work carried out to protect the environment, to ensure environmentally friendly conditions, to reduce harmful emissions, to preserve the ozone layer and to rationally use natural resources is gaining momentum. Environmental safety is of great importance in ensuring a prosperous and peaceful life in the country. Much attention is paid to a comprehensive solution to important environmental problems arising in the socioeconomic strategy pursued by the esteemed President. In particular, the creation and development of a green and smart ecosystem has found wide application in our state. In general, the importance of such concepts and terms as green economy, green city, green technologies, green energy and green industry is promoted among the population throughout the country, and important work is being carried out in this direction.
A striking example of this is the modern city of Arkadag, built on the basis of green and smart technologies at the picturesque foothills of the majestic Kopetdag Mountains. From the first day of construction of the city, only clean ecological materials were used, that is, literally, special approaches were applied so that none of the building materials of the city buildings had a harmful effect on the environment. Multimedia smart buildings with digital technologies, innovative capabilities with their convenience, reliability and accessibility improve the quality of life of the residents of the city of Arkadag. Having amazed everyone with its striking and unique nature, the city was highly praised by the world community. The accession of the city of Arkadag to the project “Development of sustainable, green, climate-friendly cities with innovative solutions in the region of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe” also confirms the status of an environmentally friendly city.
The work of city utilities and other institutions, operating within the city, is based on digital and green technologies. Remote orders, online payments, online learning and smart housing, on the one hand, are associated with the level of innovative development, on the other hand, the installation of smart parking lots, solar and wind batteries, lighting systems and smart garbage containers in the city demonstrates comprehensive care for preserving the invigorating and clean air of this area. The movement of environmentally friendly vehicles, namely electric cars and electric buses, which are distinguished by modern and high-quality service, has also been established. It is also worth noting that the construction of the second stage of the city is also based on environmentally friendly technologies.
It should be noted that at present, our state actively promotes the establishment of joint environmental partnerships, the study of projects and programs proposed in this area abroad, the introduction of new approaches and solutions and the exchange of accumulated experience and knowledge. Today, Turkmenistan has joined various UN Conventions on environment protection and is conducting multifaceted work in this direction. This organization has put forward the conception of a green economy in order to organize environmentally friendly production. Within its framework, it is planned to implement tasks to reduce carbon emissions, to minimize damage to biodiversity and ecosystems, to prevent air pollution and to improve the efficiency of alternative energy and resources.
Our country is gradually achieving success in the development of eco-technologies, the transition to environmentally friendly transport and an increase in the efficiency of green energy. New plants, factories and other facilities being built and commissioned in various sectors of the national economy, are brought into full compliance with environmental requirements. They are fitted with equipment that provides a high level of air quality monitoring and resource-saving technologies aimed at the effective management of production waste.
Thus, effective work is being carried out to achieve the sustainable development of our Motherland without polluting the environment. Much attention is paid to the implementation of the tasks of the promising conception of the green economy. This opens up new economic interests and creates favorable conditions for the successful implementation of the policy of our esteemed President.
