The President of Turkmenistan discussed with the ECO Secretary General the development of cooperation in energy, transport and other areas

On April 28, the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov received the Secretary General of the Economic Cooperation Organization Asad Majid Khan, who arrived in our country to participate in the first ECO ministerial forum on sustainable development, TDH reports.
As the President noted, cooperation with the ECO is one of the key vectors of Turkmenistan's foreign policy. Over the long period of interaction, positive experience of partnership has been accumulated. In this context, broad opportunities for the development of mutually beneficial cooperation with the ECO member states in such areas as trade and economic sphere, energy, transport, ecology, tourism and culture were noted.
Turkmenistan, supporting the initiatives put forward within the ECO, takes an active part in the implementation of mutually beneficial projects and attaches great importance to the development of partnership in the trade and economic sector and, especially, in the energy sector.
In this regard, Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted the readiness of Turkmenistan, which has huge reserves of natural gas, to diversify the supply of "blue fuel", including building up partnership in this area with the ECO member states.
During the meeting, it was also noted that the favorable geographical location of Turkmenistan serves as a solid foundation for the development of the transport and logistics sector. Of great importance in this area is the formation of the interconnectedness of all modes of transport.
In this regard, effective work is underway to create international transport corridors of multi-vector and regional significance North-South and East-West, the head of state said, confirming the country's readiness to consider specific proposals for projects related to the formation of transport and transit corridors.
The head of the regional organization emphasized that ECO attaches great importance to the development of partnership with Turkmenistan, which is confidently following the path of economic progress.

The International Scientific and Practical Conference was held at the IUOG
On April 19, at the International University of Oil and Gas named after Yagshigeldi Kakaev, an International scientific and practical conference was held on the topic “Scientific worldview of students in the Epoch of the Revival of a new era of powerful state”. In addition to the participants of the II Open International Olympiad in Informatics students of higher educational institutions of Turkmenistan and foreign countries, teachers and students of capital universities also took part in the event.
