The results of the young chemists' competition, organized by the Yagshygeldi Kakayev International University of Oil and Gas, have been summed up. Graduates of comprehensive schools and specialized secondary schools with in-depth study from all regions of the country, as well as from the cities of Ashgabat and Arkadag, took part in the scientific competition, held with the aim of improving the level of training of students of general education institutions in chemistry, identifying especially talented ones among them and stimulating them to new knowledge, creating favorable conditions for their future professional choice.
As expected, the competition identified talented schoolchildren, helped them to reveal their abilities, interests in in-depth study of subjects related to natural and exact sciences, exchange ideas, increase interest in solving computational problems in chemistry, and develop thinking skills. It is worth noting that an organizing committee was formed to hold this important event. The teachers of the General Chemistry Department of our university, who were part of the organizing committee, prepared assignments on chemistry and evaluated the works of the contestants.
The first stage of the competition of young chemists was held on April 14 in an online format in the form of testing. Last Friday, the second stage of the competition of talented chemists was held at the Yagshygeldi Kakayev International University of Oil and Gas. The winners of the final stage were announced in the conference hall of the Information Technology Center of the Yagshygeldi Kakayev International University of Oil and Gas and were awarded with certificates of honor and university diplomas. Much attention was paid to cultural events in the second final round of the competition. Interesting excursions were organized, as well as meetings with the leaders of our university, representatives of the teaching staff, researchers, as well as students of the university who have achieved high results in their studies, science and sports.
It should be noted that, by decision of the organizing committee, winners with the highest results, unlike other prize winners of the competition, will be granted benefits for continuing their education at this higher educational institution.
