Turkmenistan is ready to provide support to Iran due to the explosion in the port of Bandar Abbas

On April 26, a telephone conversation took place between the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Masoud Pezeshkian, according to a media release posted on Monday on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

At the beginning of the conversation, the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, on behalf of the President of Turkmenistan and on his own behalf, expressed to the head of the Iranian state words of deep sympathy and support to the people of Iran in connection with the explosion in the port of Bandar Abbas.

The National Leader of the Turkmen people emphasized that Turkmenistan, as a close neighbor of Iran, is ready to provide medical and all other necessary assistance to people affected by the explosion.

The leader of Iran expressed gratitude and emphasized that the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, as befits good neighbors, was the first to call in connection with this difficult situation and offer his assistance.

During the conversation, the National Leader of the Turkmen people and President Pezeshkian exchanged views on the development of bilateral relations.

They also discussed certain regional and international issues of mutual interest.
