As part of his visit to Japan, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a meeting with the Chairman of the Japan Bank for International Cooperation Hayashi Nobumitsu on April 15, TDH reports.
The head of the financial institution emphasized that the Japan Bank for International Cooperation attaches great importance to long-term effective cooperation with Turkmenistan.
Hayashi Nobumitsu also congratulated the head of state on the National Day of Turkmenistan held at EXPO 2025, noting that its holding among the first at the exhibition was a significant event.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted with satisfaction that Turkmenistan and the Japan Bank for International Cooperation have accumulated positive experience of partnership.
During the meeting, it was noted that the strategy of state development of our country provides for the creation of scientifically based industries, the widespread introduction of advanced and environmentally friendly technologies, innovations and know-how in all sectors of the national economy. In this context, the emphasis was placed on the importance of the projects being implemented jointly with Japanese companies in this area.
Having emphasized the effective nature of Turkmenistan's economic policy, the head of the Japanese bank expressed the interest of business circles and financial institutions of his country in expanding bilateral cooperation.
At the end of the meeting, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov expressed confidence in the further continuation of the productive, mutually beneficial partnership between Turkmenistan and the Japan Bank for International Cooperation.
