The development of the gas industry, gas markets, gas export flows and other uses of gas in the country are the main aspects of the Turkmen oil and gas sector that the Oxford Institute for Energy Studies (OIES) is most interested in, OIES spokesman Julian Bowden said, according to Trend.

He also noted that the development of the gas industry in Turkmenistan and the export of Turkmen gas are of great interest, and OIES is trying to keep abreast of what is happening.

"OIES will continue to try to keep track of the latest developments in the oil and gas industry in Turkmenistan", - Bowden said.

He also said that Turkmenistan possesses huge gas reserves and has achieved a lot in this industry. Thus, one of the indicators is pipeline gas exports to China, the development of petrochemical complexes and a world-scale gas-to-gasoline processing plant in Ovadandepe.
