Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov congratulated the participants of the «Galkynysh» National Equestrian Games Group on winning the Gold Award at the International Festival of Circus Arts in Monte Carlo in Monaco.

“We are significantly increasing our cultural dialogue with countries around the world, including the Principality of Monaco, and are doing a lot of work to develop national equestrian sports. And today we are very proud of the participation of the Galkynyş National Equestrian Games Group in the International Festival of Circus Arts in Monte Carlo”, - Hero Arkadag said at a meeting with Turkmen horsemen after their performance in Monte Carlo.

 «Heaven» horses, which have always been faithful companions of our people, have become the personification of the rapid development of the Homeland. Today, under the leadership of Arkadagly Hero Serdar, a lot is being done to increase the world fame of Akhal-Teke horses and increase their numbers», the head of the Halk Maslahaty noted. 

«The «Galkynysh» group has won the main prize of international circus festivals in different countries five times, and also became the World Champion. And today, at the International Circus Arts Festival, you once again raised the Turkmen Flag high, winning the main prize. You have increased the fame of Ahal-Teke horses», Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov continued. 

As noted by the media, the performance of the Galkynyş group made a splash among the numerous spectators of the festival. The unique combination of acrobatics, gymnastics and horse riding performed by Turkmen riders on magnificent Ahal-Teke horses left no one indifferent.

Founded in 1974, the festival in Monte Carlo, Monaco, is one of the most significant events in the world of circus arts. To be included in the program of this festival is a great honor for any artist. The participation of the Turkmen group «Galkynysh» testifies to the high international recognition of Turkmen circus art.

Earlier, the team of the group «Galkynysh» won the Grand Prix at prestigious international festivals in Moscow, Italy, China and Kyrgyzstan.

The success of the group «Galkynysh» is the result of a targeted state policy in the field of development of culture and art. In Turkmenistan, all conditions are created for the development of circus arts, preservation of national traditions and their popularization on the world stage.
