Russian "Gazprom" increased gas purchases in Turkmenistan for the first half of 2020, INTERFAX.RU reports.

For the first half of this year, Gazprom increased gas purchases in Turkmenistan to 1.7 billion cubic meters from 1.2 billion cubic meters in the first six months of 2019, according to the memorandum of a new issue of Gazprom Eurobonds, based on data for the first 6 months of 2020, the message says.

It is also noted that from the beginning of 2020 (at least until the end of June) Gazprom has stopped buying natural gas in Uzbekistan.

In Kazakhstan, over the same period, Gazprom reduced purchases of natural gas to 4.1 billion cubic meters from 5.4 billion cubic meters in the first half of last year.
