The soul of national culture: how a famous group preserves ancient traditions.
Yesterday, the grand opening of the Week of Culture took place at the building “Türkmeniň ak öýi” in Balkanabat, Balkan velayat. Forum participants enthusiastically greeted the Welcoming Address sent to them by the esteemed President. Since 2013, holding this large-scale event annually in one of the country’s regions has become a noble tradition. It traditionally precedes the Day of Workers of Culture and Art and Magtymguly Pyragy’s Poetry. This year’s celebration runs from June 22 to 27. It includes engaging meetings and concerts featuring masters of art from all five velayats and the city of Ashgabat.
