The President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, who is on a working visit to Uzbekistan, took part in the first Central Asia-European Union Summit and the Samarkand International Climate Forum on April 4, TDH reports.

Being deeply interested in the formation of a reliable collective security system and further integration into the global political and economic space, Turkmenistan, which today occupies key positions in the Central Asian region, takes an active part in high-level meetings, making a significant contribution to the development of dialogue in the interests of peace and universal well-being.

A clear confirmation of Turkmenistan's desire to use the opportunities to expand relations over a vast geographical area and resolve pressing issues on the global agenda was the programmatic speech of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov at the first Central Asia-European Union Summit.

On the same day, Serdar Berdimuhamedov took part in the opening ceremony of the first international forum "Central Asia in the Face of Global Climate Challenges: Consolidation for the Sake of Common Prosperity".

The two-day forum, organized at the Congress Center of the Silk Road Samarkand complex, became one of the most important world events in the field of ecology and climate change.

Among its participants are the heads of state of Central Asia, the leaders of the European Union, leading world experts, statesmen and members of governments of a number of foreign countries, representatives of international organizations and large financial institutions.
