The Center for repair and maintenance of power equipment was put into operation in the Buzmein etrap of Ashgabat the day before.  President Serdar Berdimuhamedov took part in the opening ceremony.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the new facility, Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that the Center is the only enterprise in Central Asia designed to repair and service General Electric gas turbines based on advanced technologies.

- The Center being opened today is of great importance for the industry.  It is designed to repair the main equipment of powerful energy facilities built in all regions of the country, which will reduce the time and cost of these services, and will also contribute to the training of highly qualified specialists of the relevant profile, - the head of Turkmenistan said.

The President emphasized that new power plants are operating in all regions of our country, the implementation of other major projects in the energy sector continues, the construction of an internal ring power line, as well as a power line Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan, is underway, the volumes are increasing and the geography of Turkmen electricity exports is diversifying.

The center, built by the Turkish company Çalik Enerji, also meets environmental requirements; advanced technologies of the American company General Electric are introduced here.  More than 120 employees who have previously completed internships abroad to expand their competencies will work at the new enterprise.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, the head of Çalik Holding, Ahmet Chalyk, emphasized that the new Center in Ashgabat is the most modern in terms of equipment among similar facilities in the world.  The head of the European division of General Electric, Brice Raisin, announced the issuance of a certificate for the use of GE technologies to a new production complex.

The representative of the British company The London Energy Club presented a certificate confirming that the new enterprise in Ashgabat is an advanced engineering facility and the first service center of this profile in Central Asia.  From the German Fraunhofer Institute for Energy Economics and Energy Systems Technology, a certificate was awarded for the introduction of sustainable and advanced technologies in the new center.

The Austrian division of a group of international certifying expert organizations that monitor product safety has issued a certificate of high quality in the construction of the Ashgabat service center for the maintenance of power equipment.  From the German University of Duisburg-Essen, the Center was awarded a certificate as an environmentally friendly facility that does not harm the environment.
