 From January 1, 2023, salaries, pensions and state benefits will be increased by 10% in Turkmenistan.  The corresponding decree was signed by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.

 “From January 1, 2023, to increase by 10 percent the monthly wages of employees of budget-funded institutions, self-supporting enterprises and public associations, pensions and state benefits, scholarships for students and trainees,” the presidential decree says.

 It is also ordered to establish a minimum wage in Turkmenistan in the amount of 1,160 manats and use it to streamline monthly wages.

 According to the decree, it is prescribed «to ensure an increase in wages by improving the structure of institutions, enterprises and organizations, increasing the efficiency of using production capacities and labor productivity of workers, and using unused internal reserves».
