The results of the work of the sectors of the national economy for the six months of 2022 were considered at an expanded meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, which President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held last Friday.
During the meeting, Vice-Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Shakhym Abdrakhmanov reported on the results of the work of the supervised industries in January-June this year.
It was reported on the technical and economic indicators achieved, in particular, by the State Concern «Turkmennebit» for oil production, the plan was fulfilled at the level of 100.7 percent.
The Vice-Chairman reported that the plan for oil and gas condensate production was fulfilled by 111.5 percent, oil refining - by 112.1 percent, gasoline - by 132.9 percent, diesel fuel - by 115.9 percent, polypropylene - by 153.7 percent, lubricating oils - by 105.4 percent, liquefied gas - by 118.6 percent.
The implementation of the plan for the extraction of natural and associated gas for the reporting period amounted to 112.3 percent, the export of "blue fuel" - 122.4 percent.
In comparison with the corresponding period of the last year, the growth rate for the development of investments reached 161.8 percent.
Having listened to the report, the President of Turkmenistan addressed the Vice-Chairman with a number of specific assignments for the modernization of the activities of oil and gas enterprises in order to effectively use the country's natural wealth and resources. The importance of the widespread introduction of modern digital technologies into production and the creation of new jobs was also noted.
In this context, the head of state instructed to take the necessary measures aimed at further diversifying the fuel and energy complex and improving the financial condition of the industry. Among the priorities were the strengthening of mutually beneficial relations with reliable foreign partners and the establishment of an exchange of experience.
Serdar Berdimuhamedov also ordered to prepare specific proposals to increase the productivity of production oil and gas wells. Among the urgent tasks are the advanced training of the employees of the complex, the active use of digital technologies in the context of a developing digital economy and the improvement of this work. In this regard, the emphasis was placed on the need to establish an exchange of best practices with the world's leading companies.
Among the priority areas, the head of Turkmenistan also called increasing the efficiency of geological exploration, seismic exploration and drilling, the implementation of activities to discover and develop new oil and gas fields, including through the use of 3D modeling technology.
The President also focused on the need to ensure the operation of oil refineries at maximum capacity.
