Official visit of the President of Turkmenistan to Saudi Arabia is being prepared

The events in preparation for the official visit of the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov to Saudi Arabia were discussed on Monday by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of our country Rashid Meredov and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud. This is reported by the website of the Foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan.
Thus, an agreement was reached on organizing a visit of the Deputy Foreign Minister of Saudi Arabia to Turkmenistan by the end of June to conduct bilateral political consultations on a wide range of issues.
An agreement was also reached to organize a regular meeting of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Saudi Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation in Riyadh in the second half of 2022.
During the conversation, it was emphasized that these events will be held in the context of preparations for the official visit of the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov to Saudi Arabia.
The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan expressed gratitude to the Saudi side for the excellent organization of the recent two-day visit of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov to Saudi Arabia to perform the rite of Umra Hajj (small pilgrimage).
The interlocutors also discussed in detail the course and prospects of bilateral cooperation. In particular, a clear plan of joint actions was defined to strengthen the Turkmen-Saudi relations in various fields.
