Issues of socio-economic development of the northern region of our country were discussed on Thursday at an off-site meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, which was held by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, who arrived on Thursday with a holiday trip to Dashoguz region.
As noted, it is planned to implement large-scale projects in the Dashoguz region within the framework of the forthcoming seven-year Presidential Program for the socio-economic development of Turkmenistan.
In particular, in the coming years, the northern region provides for the modernization of the gas chemical, energy sectors, light industry and the building materials industry by attracting large investments in all areas of the industrial complex, introducing innovative and digital technologies into the economy, and diversifying the processing industry.
During the government meeting, Vice-Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Shakhym Abdrakhmanov reported on the ongoing measures for the socio-economic development of the Dashoguz region.
It was reported about the employment of jobs in the region institutions and at the enterprises of the State Concern «Turkmengas», the State Corporation «Turkmengeology», TCOR.
In order to ensure an uninterrupted supply of natural gas to domestic consumers and foreign markets, the necessary work is carried out by the «Dashoguzgazakdyrysh» and «Dashoguzgazupjunchilik» departments. The Dashoguz hydrogeological expedition is engaged in supplying the local population with clean drinking water and increasing its reserves.
Summing up the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov focused on the importance of systematic diversification of the fuel and energy complex and strengthening control over the financial condition of the industry under his supervision, and addressed the Vice-Chairman with a number of specific instructions on continuing mutually beneficial relations and exchanging experience with reliable foreign partners, including in the field of increasing the productivity of oil and gas wells , to stimulate investment activity.
Further, the Deputy Prime Minister reported on the work done to prepare the draft Decree “On the procurement of lifting equipment and their spare parts used in the overhaul and drilling of lateral wells” and submitted the relevant document for consideration by the head of state.
Having signed the above Resolution, the President of Turkmenistan instructed the Deputy Prime Minister to ensure its proper implementation.
The head of state also focused on the need to further increase the volume of production and processing of oil and natural gas, strengthen effective cooperation with all interested foreign partners and implement new joint projects.
