On Friday, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov congratulated the employees of the diplomatic service of our country on their professional holiday – the Day of Diplomatic Workers of Turkmenistan, which is celebrated on February 18.

In particular, in his address, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted that “employees of the country's diplomatic service defend the national interests of the independent neutral Turkmen state in the system of international relations, work tirelessly and fruitfully to properly fulfill the large-scale tasks assigned to them”.

In this regard, the Turkmen leader stressed that “along with the successful implementation of the strategic directions of the foreign policy of our country, the necessary conditions are currently being created for the implementation of major international projects in such important areas as energy, transport and communications, ecology, high-tech “green” economy and  cultural and humanitarian sphere”.

“The foreign policy and diplomacy of our neutral state, which are based on the principles of peace and trust, are called upon to create the necessary conditions in the international space for the implementation of long-term national programs,” Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov continued.

“In this context, high demands are placed on the diplomatic service of our country to use effective tools of political, diplomatic, international legal and trade and economic consultations at the interstate and intergovernmental level,” the President of Turkmenistan said.

The Turkmen leader expressed confidence that the diplomatic service would take an active part in the successful implementation of the National Program for the Socio-Economic Development of Turkmenistan in 2022-2052, adopted during the recent meeting of the Halk Maslakhaty of the Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan.
