Government Commission discussed issues of Turkmenistan's participation in the WTO

 Priority issues related to the intensification of cooperation between Turkmenistan and the World Trade Organization were considered during an online meeting of the government commission to study issues related to accession to the WTO, the website of the Foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan reports.

 During the video conference, the parties exchanged views on the approval of the Work Plan for 2021-2022 for the preparation of the Memorandum of the foreign trade regime of Turkmenistan.

 Also, members of the government commission thoroughly studied the issue of submitting an official application of Turkmenistan to participate in the WTO activities as an active observer during the XII WTO Ministerial Conference, which will be held in Geneva on November 30 – December 3, 2021.

 During the meeting, it was emphasized that the formation of Turkmenistan as a full member of the WTO is also provided for in the Foreign Trade Strategy of Turkmenistan for 2021-2030, which was approved by a special resolution of the President of Turkmenistan.
