On Tuesday, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received Igor Burkinsky, Director of «Yug-Neftegaz Private Limited» (Singapore).

The businessman warmly congratulated the leader of the nation on the 30th anniversary of the independence of Turkmenistan and wished him good health and new remarkable successes in large-scale activities for the benefit of the country and the people.

At the same time, the high interest of «Yug-Neftegaz Private Limited», a long-standing business partner of Turkmenistan, in strengthening its positions in the dynamically developing Turkmen market, where a favorable business and investment climate has been created, was emphasized.

Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted that, possessing impressive reserves of hydrocarbon resources, our country is open for fruitful interaction with foreign partners.  Implementing a comprehensive energy strategy, Turkmenistan is betting on a radical modernization of the mining and processing infrastructure of the fuel and energy complex based on the active introduction of innovative technologies, increasing the export potential of the industry, and diversifying energy supply routes to world markets.

During the conversation, they discussed the prospects for mutually beneficial cooperation in the oil and gas sector of our country.  In this regard, issues related to the company's activities at the Goturdepe field were discussed.  In September of this year, the President signed a decree stipulating that the State Corporation «Turkmengeology» conclude a contract with this company for exploration and research work in 3D on the eastern section of the Goturdepe field, as well as in 2D format on the South Burun area.

Igor Burkinsky informed the head of Turkmenistan about the progress of the work being carried out, confirming the readiness of the company headed by him to provide the Turkmen partners with all its experience and potential.  The businessman also assured that the «Yug-Neftegaz Private Limited» company, aimed at continuing productive interaction with our country, will continue to clearly fulfill its partnership obligations.
