Chinese President Xi Jinping, in a congratulatory telegram to President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on the occasion of his birthday, declared his readiness to bring Turkmen-Chinese relations to a higher level, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan reports.

"Next year, both countries will celebrate the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations. Paying great attention to the development of the Chinese-Turkmen strategic partnership, I am ready to make efforts together with you to bring interstate relations to an even higher level for the benefit of the peoples of the two countries," Xi Jinping said in his telegram.

"This year Turkmenistan celebrates the 30th anniversary of independence. Under your wise leadership, the country has achieved great success in the reform, development and prosperity. The Chinese side highly appreciates these achievements, " the head of the People's Republic of China noted.

Xi Jinping's message also says that " At present, Chinese-Turkmen relations are successfully developing, political mutual trust, effective business partnership and close cooperation within international organizations are being strengthened. The peoples of the two countries are fighting the pandemic together in the spirit of mutual assistance, and traditional friendship is being strengthened."
