The implementation of current projects, as well as promising areas of cooperation, were discussed at the meeting of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov with the new head of the OSCE Center in Ashgabat, Ambassador John McGregor, and the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan reports.
In particular, they discussed issues of cooperation in the field of energy security, including the development of sustainable energy initiatives within the OSCE. The topic of sustainable transport was also touched upon. The sides exchanged views on joint projects aimed at optimizing the activities of the East-West corridor.
The sides stressed the importance of close cooperation to combat modern threats and challenges at the regional and international levels, including coordination of actions in the field of environmental and information security.
During the meeting, John McGregor presented his credentials to the Turkmen side.
