The bronze sponsor of the International Forum on Attracting Foreign Investment in the Oil and Gas Sector of Turkmenistan, dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the country's independence, which starts on May 12 in Ashgabat, will be the Danish company Haldor Torsoe.

The world's first plant for the production of environmentally friendly gasoline from natural gas was built using the technology developed by TIGAS in Ovadandepe of the Akhal region. The complex, which was put into operation in June 2019, is designed to produce 600 thousand tons of environmentally friendly synthetic ECO-93 gasoline that meets the EURO-5 standard, as well as 115 thousand tons of liquefied gas from by-products and 12 thousand tons of sulfur-free diesel fuel.

When using gas gasoline, 50 times less sulfur is released, 3.5 times less benzene, and 20% less other odorous hydrocarbons, which significantly reduces the level of harmful gases released into the environment.

The GTG plant in Ovadandepe has been awarded certificates by a number of international organizations, including the Certificate "The world's first plant for the production of gasoline from natural gas" from the company "Guinness World Records", the certificate "Environmentally friendly" from the US Environmental Protection Fund, the certificate "Innovative Technologies" from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology.

At the upcoming Forum, a representative of Haldor Topsoe plans to speak at a session on "Investment projects in the field of hydrocarbon monetization-a look into the future" and talk about the company's projects in Turkmenistan and in the world.
