The results of the development of the fuel and energy complex in January-April of this year were discussed at government meeting

 During the government meeting, which President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov chaired last Friday via video link, the results of the work of the branches of the national economy for four months of this year were summed up.

 Vice-Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Shakhym Abdrakhmanov reported on the results of the work of the oil and gas sector for this period.

 In particular, it was reported on the technical and economic indicators achieved in the field of oil and gas condensate production, oil refining.  Thus, the plan for the production of gasoline was fulfilled by 109 percent, diesel fuel – by 100.8 percent, polypropylene – by 105.5 percent, lubricants – by 100.1 percent, liquefied gas – by 107.1 percent, production of natural and associated  gas – by 114.6 percent, export of «blue fuel» - by 119.3 percent, investment development – by 109.1 percent.

 After listening to the report, the President noted that, despite certain shifts in the oil and gas complex, there were still shortcomings in certain industries. In this regard, the head of state demanded Vice-Chairman to strictly monitor issues related to the increase in the pace of oil production.

 The head of the state also noted the need to pay close attention to increasing the capacity of polyethylene and polypropylene production, introducing innovative technologies into the activities of the State Corporation «Turkmengeology».

 The President ordered to accelerate the development of oil and gas fields in the Caspian Sea, the construction of the transnational gas pipeline TAPI, to carry out fruitful work on other international projects for the export of natural gas.

 Then the Vice-Chairman reported on the preparations for the forum on attracting investments in the fuel and energy complex, scheduled for May 12-13.  Representatives of foreign companies and banks are expected to take part in its work.

 After hearing the report, the President of Turkmenistan gave the Vice-Chairman a number of instructions on organizing the international event at the high organizational level.

 Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov also signed an Order on granting the Chairman of the State Concern G. Baygeldiyev «Turkmennebit» the authority to sign the relevant amendments to the Production Sharing Agreement, sending it to the Vice-Chairman via the digital system and giving appropriate instructions to control the solution of tasks arising from the data  documents.
