The technology for producing gasoline from gas production by-products was developed by specialists of the Tomsk Polytechnic University (RF).  This method will allow mining companies to produce fuel for their own needs, as well as provide them with the territory.

In most fields, stable gas condensates (SGC) are mixed with oil to improve fluidity and facilitate transportation.  However, it can be used for processing high-octane gasolines into components on a zeolite catalyst.

Since the delivery of fuel to remote enterprises affects its cost, the possibility of switching to autonomy is relevant.

The advantages of the technology are associated with the catalyst used, zeolite.  Zeolites are inexpensive miners that do not contain precious metals and are resistant to catalytic poisons.

Processing on zeolite allows increasing the octane number of SGC by an average of 18 points, that is, actually getting AI-80 gasoline in one technological stage, Izvestiya says.

In addition, scientists have proposed formulations for mixing gasoline grades AI-92, AI-95, AI-98 based on SGC processing products.
