Turkmenistan and the Global Gas Center discussed cooperation in the gas sector

On December 1, Vice-Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Batyr Amanov met with Valérie Ducros, Executive Director of the Global Gas Center (GGC), in Ashgabat, according to the website of the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Swiss Confederation.
During the talks, the parties discussed the growing importance of ensuring the security of gas supplies to global markets, the development of regional energy cooperation to strengthen security, diversification, and long-term partnerships, and the expansion of Turkmen gas export routes.
As noted, the Turkmen side reaffirmed its commitment to developing mutually beneficial cooperation with international energy institutions.
The meeting noted Turkmenistan's role as a reliable partner in shaping the regional and global energy agenda.
The GGC operates as an independent expert platform for discussions on energy security, regional cooperation, infrastructure projects, and the transition to a low-carbon economy. The organization promotes a technologically pragmatic approach: natural gas, low-carbon, and renewable gases are essential elements of a balanced energy transition.
