Turkmenistan delegation took part in Tashkent International Investment Forum

The delegation of Turkmenistan headed by Vice-Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan N.Atagulyev made a working visit to Uzbekistan on June 9-11 to participate in the Tashkent International Investment Forum, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan reports.
The heads of state and government of Bulgaria, Slovakia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Azerbaijan, as well as heads of a number of foreign companies and media representatives took part in the forum. Among the high-ranking guests were also President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development Odile Renaud-Basso and Head of the New Development Bank Dilma Rousseff.
The key event of the forum was the First National Exhibition of Industrial and Investment Potential of Uzbekistan. The exposition presented more than 90 leading companies operating in the fields of petrochemistry, mechanical engineering, construction industry and other industries. The exhibition provided investors with a comprehensive understanding of projects ready for implementation and cooperation opportunities.
In his speech, Atagulyev noted that the Tashkent International Investment Forum is an important platform for studying the business opportunities of Uzbekistan, implementing projects based on the development of the logistics system, establishing cooperation with business and government circles, as well as entering the markets of Central Asia.
As part of the forum program, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received Vice-Chairman of Turkmenistan N.Atagulyev. During the conversation, Atagulyev conveyed warm words of greetings to the head of Uzbekistan from the President of Turkmenistan and the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan. They also discussed topical issues of further development of strategic partnership.
Also during the visit, Vice-Chairman N.Atagulyev met with Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Jamshid Hojayev.
