Representatives of Turkmenistan and the Philippines discussed cooperation opportunities in the energy sector

Representatives of the State Concerns “Turkmengas”, “Turkmennebit” and “Turkmenchemistry” held a video conference with the Department of Energy of the Republic of the Philippines on June 5, where they discussed cooperation opportunities in the energy sector. This was reported by the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Japan.

The Philippine side at the meeting was headed by Michael Sinocruz, Director of the Bureau of Energy Policy and Planning of the Department of Energy of the Philippines. During the discussion, the current state of the Philippines' energy sector, plans for future development and the country's interest in expanding international partnerships were touched upon.

The Turkmen side, in turn, presented detailed information on state programs for the development of hydrocarbon and chemical resources, as well as large-scale projects being implemented in the energy and chemical industries. Joint work with foreign partners was also highlighted.

The parties discussed potential areas of cooperation of mutual interest. Following the meeting, interest was expressed in continuing the dialogue and preparing joint proposals on relevant issues in the future.
