Turkmenistan plans to establish cooperation with the ECO Science Foundation

Priority areas of cooperation with the Economic Cooperation Organization Science Foundation were discussed on April 29 at a meeting between Deputy Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan Mahri Byashimova and the President of the ECO Science Foundation, Professor Seyid Komail Tayebi, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan reports.

The parties noted the importance of strengthening scientific ties and implementing joint projects in the field of science, technology and innovation to stimulate economic growth and integration in the region.

In addition, it was noted that cooperation in the scientific field contributes to strengthening mutual understanding, transfer of advanced technologies and achieving common development goals.

The development of energy, including renewable energy sources, research in the field of ecology and environmental protection, innovation in agriculture and water resources, digitalization and the introduction of modern IT technologies were named among the priority areas of partnership.
