Serdar Berdimuhamedov discussed further strengthening of interstate dialogue with the Vice President of Iran

On April 28, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov received the Vice President, Head of the Planning and Budget Organization of Iran Seyed Hamid Pourmohammadi, who arrived in our country to participate in the first ministerial forum of the ECO on sustainable development, TDH writes.

As was noted during the meeting, interaction between Turkmenistan and Iran is developing both in a bilateral format and within the framework of international organizations on the principles of mutual respect and trust.

Noting the existence of great opportunities for increasing bilateral cooperation, the interlocutors spoke in favor of the need for more effective use of the potential of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Iranian Commission.

- As known, Turkmenistan is a supporter of diversification of energy exports to the world market, Serdar Berdimuhamedov said, continuing that our country is currently working with partners to implement a number of important energy projects.  This work is carried out taking into account the requirements for ensuring safety for the population and the environment.

In this regard, Turkmenistan's readiness to support initiatives and proposals aimed at further strengthening the interstate dialogue was confirmed.

Serdar Berdimuhamedov expressed firm confidence that the results of Purmohammadi's visit are intended to promote the intensification of cooperation between the two countries.

During the meeting, the head of Turkmenistan expressed deep condolences in connection with the explosion that occurred in the Shahid Rajaee port of Bandar Abbas.
