Serdar Berdimuhamedov took part in celebrations in honor of the National Day of the Turkmen Horse

On April 27, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov took part in events on the occasion of the National Day of the Turkmen Horse, which took place at the International Ahal-Teke Equestrian Sports Complex, TDH reports.
The head of state got acquainted with a thematic exhibition demonstrating national horse breeding traditions. Yurts representing the capital, the city of Arkadag and the regions of the country were installed on the territory of the complex, where carpet weaving products, jewelry art, as well as works of sculptors and artists were presented.
The event was also attended by the Chairman of the Mejlis, Vice-chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers, heads of ministries and departments, representatives of the diplomatic corps and international organizations.
The central event of the holiday was equestrian competitions. Dozens of racehorses took part in seven races of various distances. The main prize of the President of Turkmenistan and the Challenge Cup in the final race at a distance of 1800 meters was won by the horse Bezirgen, belonging to the Ahal-Teke Equestrian Complex of the President of Turkmenistan.
An award ceremony was also held for the winners of the marathon and show jumping competitions held earlier this week. In the long-distance marathon, the best result was shown by the horse Polat with the rider S. Seyidov, and in the show jumping competition, the horse Altynhan with the jockey Y. Chopanov won.
Following the award ceremony, the head of state was presented with a carpet on the occasion of the National Day of the Turkmen Horse.
