International Investment Forum of Turkmenistan TEIF 2025 has started its work

In the capital of Malaysia, in the Kuala Lumpur Convention Center (KLCC), on the afternoon of April 23, the opening of the International Forum on Attracting Foreign Investments into the Economy of Turkmenistan TEIF 2025 took place.
The delegates listened with great attention to the official address of the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov to the participants of the forum, which was read by the Vice-Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Batyr Amanov.
The Vice-Chairman made a report in which he spoke about the great achievements in the oil and gas industry over the years of independence of Turkmenistan. In his speech, Batyr Amanov also called on foreign investors to cooperate mutually beneficially in the implementation of new projects in the fuel and energy sector, including the development of the largest gas field "Galkynysh", exploration and development of oil and gas resources in the Turkmen sector of the Caspian Sea, the construction of the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI) gas pipeline, the creation of enterprises for processing hydrocarbon raw materials and the production of high-quality finished products.
Then began the plenary session on the theme "International Year of Peace and Trust: the Role of Turkmenistan in Shaping the Future of Global Energy and Sustainable Development". In 2025, declared by a special Resolution of the UN General Assembly "International Year of Peace and Trust", co-authored by 86 states, Turkmenistan will occupy a leading position in shaping the future of global energy, using its rich resources, strategic geographic location and commitment to peace to strengthen regional stability.
The key topics of the plenary session touch upon the role of Turkmenistan's energy policy as a basis for energy diplomacy, regional stability and global cooperation. Particular attention is paid to the potential of the transnational TAPI gas pipeline, which strengthens energy security, promotes multilateral cooperation and opens up investment opportunities for both the national economy and the economies of South Asian countries.
The main aspects of this session include the role of Turkmenistan in energy diplomacy and its impact on regional stability and security, the hydrocarbon resource base of our country, existing transnational gas pipelines and new investment projects in the oil and gas industry of Turkmenistan.
The agenda of the first day of the forum also includes a panel discussion on "New investment opportunities in the energy sector of Turkmenistan; natural gas and monetization. During this session, new prospects for natural gas exports, gas chemistry and electricity generation were considered. Particular attention is paid to such major initiatives as the Turkmenistan-China transnational gas pipeline, TAPI, supplies to Uzbekistan, and swap supplies.
The main topics of the panel discussion include: an overview of existing and analysis of new natural gas export routes; the next stages of industrial development of the Galkynysh field; modernization of existing and construction of new gas chemical complexes; electricity generation based on natural gas; progress in the implementation of the TAPI transnational gas pipeline; an overview of existing and analysis of new electricity export routes along the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan (TAP) route, as well as renewable energy sources.
A separate session is devoted to accelerating the process of attracting investment in infrastructure projects in Turkmenistan with an emphasis on construction, transport, information technology and telecommunications.
On Thursday, April 24, the investment forum will continue its work. The forum will also include coordinated meetings with the top management of the oil and gas, financial, chemical, construction and energy sectors of the economy of Turkmenistan.
