President of Turkmenistan leaves for working visit to Japan

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov left for a working visit to Japan on April 13, TDH reports.
As noted, during the visit, Serdar Berdimuhamedov will take part in the ceremonial events on the occasion of the National Day of Turkmenistan at the World Exhibition "EXPO-2025" and hold high-level meetings.
At a government meeting held last Friday, Vice-Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov reported on preparations for the President's working visit to Japan.
As the Vice-Chairman noted, the productive nature of the bilateral economic partnership is evidenced by the large joint projects implemented over the past 15 years. Key areas of strategic partnership include gas chemistry, electric power, transport, and water management. Interaction with leading Japanese companies is developing dynamically. In order to coordinate interstate relations, the Turkmen-Japanese and Japanese-Turkmen Committees on Economic Cooperation are actively operating.
