Turkmenistan delegation discussed cooperation in trade, transport, and energy on the sidelines of the 71st session of the UNECE

On April 8, the delegation of Turkmenistan headed by Vice-Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Hojamurad Geldymuradov held meetings with UNECE Executive Secretary Tatyana Molchan on the sidelines of the 71st session of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of our country reports.
During the conversation, the parties discussed a wide range of issues of mutual interest. Particular attention was paid to the prospects for further cooperation between Turkmenistan and the UNECE, including cooperation in the field of sustainable development, trade, ecology, transport, and energy.
On behalf of the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the Vice-Chairman presented Tatyana Molchan with an official invitation to take part in the ceremonial events dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the proclamation of the status of permanent neutrality of Turkmenistan. Having confirmed her readiness to take part in the upcoming events, Molchan noted the importance of Turkmenistan's neutrality as a key principle of international relations and sustainable peace.
On the same day, the delegation of Turkmenistan held a meeting with the Secretary-General of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) Rebecca Grynspan, during which they discussed issues of sustainable economic development, expansion of trade potential, digital transformation, investments, and strengthening cooperation with UNCTAD.
On behalf of the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, H. Geldymuradov presented Rebecca Grynspan with an official invitation to participate in the International Forum of Peace and Trust, dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's permanent Neutrality. Expressing gratitude for the invitation, the head of UNCTAD emphasized the important role of Turkmenistan in promoting the principles of neutrality and sustainable international partnership.
