The President of Turkmenistan paid a working visit to Hungary

 Last Sunday, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov paid a working visit to Hungary at the invitation of the Prime Minister of this country Viktor Orban on the occasion of the celebration of the founding of the Hungarian State and the World Championships in Athletics.

 Official invitations to attend the festive events were sent by the Prime Minister Viktor Orban to the President of Turkmenistan and the Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty, the National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

 According to TDH, during the visit, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held talks with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, during which issues of the development of Turkmen-Hungarian cooperation in various fields were discussed.

 The President of Turkmenistan noted that the official visit of Prime Minister Viktor Orban to Ashgabat in June this year gave a significant impetus to bilateral cooperation.

 During the current meeting, the presence of wide opportunities for intensifying bilateral cooperation in the trade and economic sphere, increasing the volume of trade, and intensifying partnerships between business structures was noted.

 Among the promising areas of cooperation were identified energy, transport and communications sector, industry, pharmaceuticals, agriculture, and a number of other industries.

 Also, the head of Turkmenistan became an honored guest at the World Championships in Athletics, held for the first time in Central Europe.  The competition was also watched by the presidents of Turkey, Serbia, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, leaders of a number of other countries of the world.

 Then the head of Turkmenistan proceeded to the residence of the Prime Minister of Hungary, where a solemn reception was given on the occasion of the national holiday of Hungary.

 Upon completion of the working visit, the President of Turkmenistan left Budapest for his homeland.

SC «Turkmengas» and «Haldor Topsoe» are preparing to start production of ammonia and methanol from natural gas

The State concern «Turkmengas» is negotiating with the Danish company «Haldor Topsoe» on the construction in Turkmenistan of a small-sized gas chemical plant for the production of ammonia and methanol from natural gas.
