A unit for separating and transporting a gas-oil condensate mixture has been built and commissioned at the Uzynada field, located in the Balkan region. This new facility was constructed by the Specialized Installation Department of the Nebitgazchikarysh Trust, commissioned by the Gumdagnebit Oil and Gas Production Department of the Nebitgazchykarysh Trust, part of the State Concern Turkmennebit.
Designed by the Nebitgazylmytaslama Institute of the State Concern Turkmennebit, this unit uses three-stage separators to separate gas from the oil condensate mixture produced at the Uzynada field, as well as water and other mechanical impurities. The separated "blue fuel" is sent via a newly installed 32.3-kilometer pipeline to the Barsagelmez field's gas compressor station.
The stabilized oil condensate is collected in tanks and transported to the Gumdag oil treatment and pumping station. The facility has a daily processing capacity of 3 million cubic meters of natural gas and 2,000 tons of oil condensate mixture.
According to specialists, the commissioning of the new facility has opened up extensive opportunities for supplying high-pressure gas to oil wells operating using the gas lift method at the Barsagelmez field. Future plans also include connecting the gas system to ring pipelines, directing the flow to the Korpedje gas compressor station.
The construction of the new facility at the Uzynada field has significantly reduced backpressure in the pipeline. At the same time, well productivity has increased, creating the potential for an additional 250 tons of oil per day. The issues that prevented the commissioning of new production wells, the drilling of which has been completed, were also successfully resolved.
Construction of the new facility near promising Caspian fields will facilitate the discovery of new associated oil and gas deposits and open up significant economic opportunities.
