At the extended sitting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan held on February 7 this year, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov particularly emphasized the importance of successfully implementing the adopted program for the development of the country’s oil and gas industry, aimed at strengthening its industrial and export potential. The main condition is to identify the opportunities available in the production structures of the industry and to use them effectively. The work carried out at the Goturdepenebit Oil and Gas Production Directorate of the Türkmennebit State Concern serves as evidence of the successful solution of the tasks set in this sphere.
In recent years, the Directorate, which has been consistently modernizing in terms of technical and economic support, takes one of the leading positions among the numerous enterprises of the Concern engaged in the production of oil, gas, associated gas and gas condensate, the drilling of exploration and production wells, the transportation of hydrocarbon raw materials through pipelines, the construction and reconstruction of gas compressor stations and control units, the capital and underground repair of wells and the construction of industrial, cultural and household facilities. Over the past two months of the current International Year of Peace and Trust, the volume of “black gold”, extracted from wells operated by specialists of the Directorate, amounted to 179 thousand 880 tons, and the planned plan was fulfilled by 106 percent. This figure is almost a third of the valuable raw materials produced by the entire Concern during the reporting period. It should be underscored that 9 thousand 740 tons of “black gold” more were extracted compared to the same period of the previous year, thereby significantly increasing the growth rate of production. The plan for the production of 65 million 980 thousand cubic meters of natural gas from operating wells for the reporting period was fulfilled by 135 percent.
