The results of the activities of the fuel and energy complex in January 2024 were discussed at the sectoral meeting

The Central Building of the oil and gas complex of Turkmenistan hosted a reporting meeting, at which the results of the activities of sectoral enterprises for the first month of the current year, being held under the motto “The Fount of Wisdom Magtymguly Pyragy”, were discussed. 

During the meeting, the tasks set before the country’s oil and gas complex by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov at the digital meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan on February 16, which had summed up the results of the work done in all sectors of the economy in January and had also discussed specific ways to further advance work in this direction, were considered. 

During the reporting meeting, held under the leadership of the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Batyr Amanov, heads of sectoral organisations and enterprises and directorates of the oil and gas complex spoke about the work done during the reporting period. 

The speeches outlined the tasks set by the Turkmen leader before enterprises of the fuel and energy complex, in particular, the extraction and processing of oil and natural gas, being in great demand on the world market, further increase in volumes and the expansion of the range of production of various types of petrochemical products, the constant strengthening of the resource base of the oil and gas industry through the discovery of new promising fields, geological exploration using digital technologies and advanced equipment, the further diversification of the fuel and energy complex and the acceleration of the pace of work to introduce the latest scientific and technical requirements and innovative technologies into the country’s energy sector. The need for regular monitoring of ongoing large projects was also emphasized, and ways of their implementation were discussed.  

At the end of the reporting meeting, stressing the relevance of the tasks, set by the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and the head of state – Hero of Turkmenistan Arkadagly Serdar, and aimed at the further development of the country’s fuel and energy complex, Deputy Prime Minister Batyr Amanov focused on increasing the production and economic indices of the structural divisions of the industry. The Deputy Prime Minister also wished the audience every success in work in the current year being held under the motto “The Fount of Wisdom Magtymguly Pyragy”.
