The President of Turkmenistan ordered the donation of 2 thousand tons of liquefied gas to Kyrgyzstan

 President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov ordered the free transfer of 2 thousand tons of liquefied natural gas to Kyrgyzstan in February in connection with the current situation in the energy sector of the Kyrgyz Republic.  The corresponding order of the head of state was published on Saturday in the media of Turkmenistan.

 “In order to send humanitarian aid to the Kyrgyz people on behalf of the Turkmen people in February 2024 in connection with the current situation in the energy sector of the Kyrgyz Republic, the President of Turkmenistan signed an Order according to which the Türkmengaz State Concern will donate 2 thousand tons of liquefied natural gas to the Kyrgyz Republic as  friendly and fraternal assistance,” the document says.

 As foreign media reported, on the night of February 2, an accident occurred at the Bishkek thermal power plant.  According to preliminary data, one of the boilers exploded.  Currently, the main task of the authorities is to supply heat to the apartments of citizens and prevent such situations from reoccurring.
