At the auctions of the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan, 26 transactions were registered last week.
For foreign currency, businessmen from the United Arab Emirates and Kazakhstan purchased polypropylene produced at the technological installations of the State Concern «Turkmennebit».
Representatives of the UAE business community also purchased carbon black produced by the Turkmenhimiya Group of Companies. Also, companies from the UAE, Great Britain, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Pakistan, and Kyrgyzstan purchased cotton fabric and yarn, men's shirts and denim, regenerated fiber, raw silk, and cotton waste.
The total amount of foreign exchange transactions amounted to about 2 million 900 thousand US dollars.
Local entrepreneurs purchased polypropylene and petroleum road bitumen, as well as handmade carpets worth more than 24 million 387 thousand manats for the domestic market.
